Located within 20 minutes drive of the city of St. John's and the V.C Bird International Airport, access to the property is fairly simple. If you are driving yourself, kindly follow the directions below: After exiting the airport, head left unto the Sir George Walter Highway (previously Airport Road) at the corner where the Bank of Antigua building is located. Proceed from here until you get to the second stop light at the end of the Sir George Walter Highway. The landmark here is the Mitsubishi Motors/Texaco Service Station, and is the beginning of the Sir Sydney Walling Highway. Turn left here, and keep left at all times. You will pass a first roundabout, to the left of which is the Sir Vivian Richards Cricket Stadium. Continue for a few minutes more until you come to a second roundabout. You will see the Mount Joy Service Station at this point. Still keeping left, continue along the Collins Road, past Pares Village, which is the first village you drive through. Continue until you reach Glanvilles Village. When you reach to Glanvilles, the first building you see is the St. Stephens Anglican Church. You will see an Ellen Bay Cottages sign on the lamppost next to the church. Turn left here, and drive right through the village, passing the Sea Breeze Reception Hall along the way. You will also pass a green building housing the Seaview Supermarket. A curve here allows you to see the view of the Atlantic Ocean. Continue along until you are almost at the end of this road. A sign on a lamppost on your right points left, down a small slope; and another sign on a lamppost on the left points left again down a small hill. The final sign is on a lamppost on your left directing you to turn right. We are the blue two storey property almost at the end of the short road. Just drive to the front of the property, and you have arrived. If the above seems complicated, a part of our service includes airport transfers, so that we will greet you at the airport and make sure that you get to the property without any unnecessary delays. We also ensure your safe return. The Seatons Area is close to the natural paradise of the North Sound which contains many islands surrounded by calm, turquoise waters, and plays home to many endangered species of birds and mammals. Situated between the water attractions of Stingray City on the left and Paddles Eco Kayak Tour on the right, guests can sit on the verandas and watch the flurry of activity of boats taking patrons to and from their sea adventures. As your hosts, we have a small boat and offer a tour of the islands of the North Sound, where you can go swimming, snorkeling, fishing, hiking or picnicking on one of the islands. Seatons is also strategically placed close to many historic sites. For instance, Gilbert Memorial Methodist Church, Devils Bridge, Betty’s Hope, Tamarind Tree, Potworks Reservoir, Nelsons Dockyard and Shirley Heights are between 5 and 25 minutes away. The two closest beaches are Long Bay and Half Moon Bay. There is a small supermarket in the village which also hosts an outdoor bar/restaurant, and on weekends you can try out Auntie Ruth’s hamburgers and chicken and chips dishes, Clythies much sought after fish and johnnie cakes and Markey’s Jamaican jerk chicken. Otherwise, English Harbour, St. John’s and Jolly Harbour and only 20-30 minutes away. |
