Article #5: See the Sites of Antigua With Us!
With our 14 Seater Nissan Urvan Bus, we can take your family or group on an island tour, where you can appreciate the beauty and culture of this beautiful country, all in a day.
We begin our island tour at Devils Bridge where you will marvel at the sight of this natural bridge which was formed by the waves lashing against this far eastern coast of the island.
We then venture to the visitor center at Betty's Hope Historic Sugar Plantation. In addition to the restored sugar mills, you will find an interesting museum showcasing various aspects of the plantation's history, including early estate plans, pictures, maps, artifacts, and a model of the central site giving an overview of the plantation.
We then go through the villages of Bethesda, Christian Hill, Piccadilly and Cobbs Cross, and into the Nelsons Dockyard where you can stroll around the area and visit the Dockyard Museum. We then journey up to the Interpretation Center at Shirley's Height where you can take in the spectacular views from the ruins of this old military complex, especially from the Lookout vantage point.
From Shirley's Heights, we head to Fig Tree Drive which is considered Antigua's rain forest. You will pass through all the "round south" villages, before arriving at Jolly Harbour Marina. Here you can take a walk along the boardwalk and stop for lunch at one of the many fine restaurants located in this area.
After leaving Jolly Harbour, we arrive into St. John's City, where you can visit the Museum of Antigua and Barbuda, the St. John's Anglican Cathedral, the Vegetable and Craft Market, or go shopping at the Vendors Mall, Heritage Quay or Redcliffe Quay.
Finally, if you like, we can find time to stop at one of Antigua's beautiful beaches for a dip in the calm, blue waters of the Atlantic Ocean or the Caribbean Sea.
Contact us for rates or any other information. We would be happy to tailor the tour to suit your needs.
